They respect your privacy with freedom to come and go. They are aware that some guests who frequent bed and breakfast homes seek the enjoyment of getting to know their hosts and sometimes this develops close friendships. If you want tips on public transportation, driving, shopping or any Vancouver attractions they are happy to lend an insider’s view.

Lesley was born in New Zealand and moved to Canada 20 years ago. Martin born in Scotland, moved to Canada when he was 18. Martin has been in both the restaurant and transportation business, Lesley worked for many years with airlines as a flight attendant, airport check-in representative and in management and sales in the tourism business

Both hosts are extensively travelled, hospitable and understanding of their guests own travelling and accommodation needs.

An active family, who love to snowshoe or cross country ski during the winter months; the closest ski slope is 45 minutes from Eagle Mountain Bed and Breakfast, Martin and Lesley can ensure that your winter stay is memorable.

The peak ski season varies in BC but is approximately November to April, your hosts are an excellent source of information on the BC Ski-resorts.

Hiking is another passion; Martin and Lesley are familiar with all the local trails, trails start almost behind the house. Numerous trails with various degrees of difficulty can be enjoyed on easy day trips or afternoon outings. The ocean is only a few minutes away and offers seashore walkways, boating fishing and views of the surrounding mountains.

Guests are welcome to join Martin and Lesley on one of their leisurely walks or perhaps a challenging hike. Relaxed about their activity, and non competitive, all guests are assured of a fun time. Tennis courts, swimming and health club facilities are five minutes away.

Lesley curls during the winter and golf’s recreationally during the summer. Golf packages can be arranged on request. There are ten golf courses located in the Tri-Cities area.

Your Hosts enjoy art galleries, active interesting museums and the theatre. This year in Vancouver there is a presentation Jean Baptiste Rodin’s work, this includes 60 of his magnificent bronzes. This is one of many exhibitions available to our guests. Arrangements can be made for guests to enjoy local theatre or one of the Vancouver productions. Martin and Lesley can provide excellent advice on day trips to Seattle, or side trips to Whistler.

Martin loves to cook, he barbeques year round on the lovely deck and is an excellent chef. Their knowledge of fine dining or excellent value ethnic restaurants can be of great assistance to you.
